Sam Version 6.5c Released with significant enhancements to the beam modules.

Sam Version 6.5c was released in January 2012. This new version is supplied to customers with a current maintenance agreements and is a major upgrade offering many new features. For customers in Australia and New Zealand, some of the key new features are listed below.

  • Significant improvements to the beam module graphical display, both for data input and results viewing;
  • Pretensioned beam web shear cracking at web/flange interface is now included (as a principal tensile stress check at serviceability limit state);
  • Pretensioned beam deflection calculations at each stage of construction is now tabulated in the SLS beam flexure results summary;
  • New Australia and New Zealand “Examples Manual” is now accessible under the Help Menu.

There are also significant enhancements to the Eurocode version of the software (including the inclusion of French and Swedish National Annex in the Eurocode automated loading module).
